BlackJackal on iPhone Duo: closed, the outer display shows the whole table with controls in the side bar. Open, the inner display shows the table on one side, and the coaching, session and previous hands on the other.
Closed: the whole table.
The outer display is wider and shorter than an iPhone’s. BlackJackal lays the whole table out to fit it, and moves its controls to the side, where your thumb already rests.

Open: a table and a coach.
Unfold it sideways and BlackJackal becomes a two-page spread. You play on the right. On the left, the hand you just played explains itself.

- Your session, at a glance
- Accuracy, your streak, what mistakes have cost, and the result so far, in one line.
- Coaching that stays put
- What each play was worth and why, printed on the felt beside the cards. Nothing to open or close.
- Previous hands
- Every hand of the session, newest first. Tap one to read its coaching again.
Upright: the table above, the coach below.
Hold it tall and the seats sit side by side under the lamp, with coaching and your session beneath them and the controls at your thumbs.
Fold it partway, like a laptop, and the table stands up on the top half while the console lies flat on the bottom, split right at the hinge.

Every way you hold it.
Closed
The whole table on the outer display, with controls in the side bar.
Open, sideways
A two-page spread: the table on one side, your coach and session on the other.
Open, upright
The table above, with coaching, your session and the controls below.
Half open
The table stands up on the top half; the console lies flat below the hinge.
- Table signals work anywhere on the felt, on either display.
- The welcome tour is laid out for both displays, too.
- Your progress carries straight across as you open and close it.
