## Strategy

- [Blackjack basic strategy chart](https://blackjackal.ca/strategy.md): Interactive basic strategy chart for 6 decks with H17/S17, double after split, and late surrender, with the EV of every option in every cell
- [Never take insurance](https://blackjackal.ca/never-take-insurance.md): Blackjack insurance wins about 4 times in 13 but needs 1 in 3 to break even, so it costs about 7.7 cents per dollar. Even money is the same bet.
- [Why you hit 16 against a 10](https://blackjackal.ca/why-hit-16-vs-10.md): Hitting hard 16 against a dealer 10 busts 62% of the time, and it's still right. What standing really costs, and why surrender beats both.

## Tools for agents

- [MCP server](https://blackjackal.ca/mcp): Streamable HTTP, read-only, no auth. Tools: `basic_strategy` (the book play and the EV of each option for any hand, dealer upcard and rule set) and `app_info` (facts about BlackJackal and where to get it).
- Pages on this site also register the same tools with WebMCP (`document.modelContext`) in browsers that support it.
